To New German Navy stronger channel squadron. (Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn.) (Received August 11, 6.30 p.m.) LONDON, August 10. The “Daily Telegraph’s” Naval correspondent says: That France takes a serious view of the German naval “comeback” is indicated by there being steady reinforcements» of France’s Northern or Channel Squadron, the strength of which has been doubled during the last nine months. The ships of the Squadron are to be supported by a great air fleet, operating between Brest and the Channel ports. At the present rate of development. the French Northern Squadron will soon be superior to the British Home Fleet in all types, except capital ships.
