GREY HOSPITAL

VISIT BY COUNTY COUNCIL. Yesterday afternoon, members of the Grey County Council, at the invitation of the Grey Hospital Board, made a visit of inspection to the Grey RiveHospital. In the unavoidable absence of the Chairman of the Board (Mr R. McTaggart). Mr H. G. Carter welcomed the Councillors. He said that it was very pelasing to have the County members there, as they had always worked in very harmonious y with the members of the Board, and he trusted that their amicable relations would continue. In reply Cr. J. W. Hannan (Chairman) agreed that the Council had. always had very harmonious relations with the members of rhe Hospital Board based on the principle that the Councillors considered it was not the duty of one local body to criticise another, and that members of each local body had quite enough to do to look after their own matt'ers. He could assure the Board that the harmonious re lations would contniue. During their inspection the Councillors expressed satisfaction at' the cleaniness and general orderliness of the Hospital. The various new instruments introduced into the Hospital were demonstrated inclnd’ng the most la-t'ost addition, a Gastrectomy Sutnting Clamp. The Councillors were the guests of the Medical Superintendent and Matron at afternoon tea.
