MOVEMENT SPREADS Revolt Against Politicians (Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn.) (Received .lune 12 at 9 p.m.) PARIS, June 12. There was an assembly of fiftee thousand adherents of the Croix d Feu in Algiers, when an air pageau was staged with that or anisation’s ow aeroplanes. This directs attention to the growl of this body, which was founded ii 1927. Its membership then was 50()( It has now a membership of three him died thousand. Its movements an* al ways mysterious. A few weeks ago the Fiery Cros assembled fifteen thousand of the mem bers in Marseilles and five thousand ii Lille, without the police knowing o the plans. Their exponents describe the mem bers as Fascists, or compare them witl the Steel Helmets in Germany. The; allege their real object is the establish ment of a dictatorship in France, bu the leader, Colonel de la Roque, say: that the movement is essentially French revolt against the politica’ financial and economic tangles of re cent years. Certainly the movement is a demo era lie one. It includes workers, in dustrialists, generals, artists and setvan ts. FRENCH EXAMPLE LONDON, June 12. Groups of French ex-servicemen have already visited Germany, and been accorded a warm welcome.
