KIDNAPPERS CAUGHT

WEYERHAEUSER CASE. RANSOM MONEY TITE CLUE. (Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn.) (Received Juno 10, at 8.30 p.in.) WASHINGTON, June 9. J. Edgar Hoover announced on Sunday night thait a couple, giving their rtames as Mr and Mrs Herman M. Waley. of Salt Lake City, Utah, had been arrested, and .had confessed to the Weyerhaeuser kidnapping. Their confession is one involving William Alaham, the owner of an automobile, which was abandoned at Butte, in Montana on Sunday, and which contained fifteen thousand dollars of the ransom payment. An intensive search was immediately started for Mahan. The criminal records of the Waley.s and of Mahan, if any, have not been revealed.

Mrs Waley was caught when she was attempting to pass a bill that was paid among Ithe ransom money.
