SERIOUS THEFT CHARGE. CLEM DAWE REVUE COY. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, June 10. A charge of stealing £3B Os’ Bd, the property of tihe Clem D'awe Revue Coy. v, as made against Colin Moore Mitch inson, 22, treasurer, at the Police Court, to-day. He was remanded to June 17th. When bail was mentioned the Prosecutor said it should be substantial, as» the total sum involved was about £3OO. Counsel for the accused said he understood that it was more a matter of muddlcment than of deliberate theft. Bail was fixed at £2OO. EXTRA SENTENCES FOR THEFT? WELLINGTON lO. When sentenced for theft to a. further month in gaol, in addition to six. weeks’ that he was at p esent serving n*i a similar John Woodville Starling, aged 24, a clerk, remarked that he had learned ihis> lesson. Terms of three months’ and one n (mill’s imprisonment, to run coneurlently with a sent nee of reformative detention he is at present serving, v ere imposed by Air Stillwell to-day upon Maurice James Dunn, 22 labourer, who pleaded guilty to obtaining by false pretences g00d.9 from .Kirkcaldie and Stains Ltd*, and the D.LC.
