Deceased, who leaves an infant daughter, was the fourth daughter of Mrs W. J. Anderson, Moteuka, also fourth and youngest daughter of Mr P. J. Cortzen, Waimea Street, Nelson. The death occurred last evening at the Grey Hospital of Miss Bridget Gibbons, daughter of Mr and Mrs M. Gibbons, of Greymouth. The deceased who had been .ailing for twelve months past, was nineteen years of age. Besides her parents, she loaves two sisters, Mrs C. Adler, of Ruru, and Miss Margaret Gibbons, of Greymouth, and also five brothers, Maurice, George, Patrick, James and William, all of Greymouth. The bereaved relatives will have the sympathy of their many friends in their loss. The funeral takes place to-morrow morning, leaving St Patrick’s Church at 9.30 o’clock. The death took place at Che residence of his daughter, Mrs T. Purnell. Runanga f . yesterday aftoynoon ( . after an illness lasting only two days, of Air John Pinn, a pioneer of 'the West Coast. The late Air Pinn, who was a native of reached the age of eighty year.-’. lie came 67 years age to the West Coast landing at Hokitika and working on the goldfields. After a stay in ihe Waimea district, he, followed the rush to Kumara, in the midseventies, and was there in the employ of the ilate Richard John Seddon, having charge of a building business. After his wife’s death at Kumara ( . he came 27 years) ago to reside at Runanga, where he had since remained. He is survived, by a sister, Mrs F. Lindbom, of Cobden, while there is left a family of thirteenv six daughters and seven sons. The daughters are Mesdamos Delentfy (AVhakafa-ne), (J. Kennedy, A. Wright, T. Purnell and A. Patterson (Runanga) and A'l'iss Emily Pinn (Wellington). The sons are

John. Charles. Thomas, George, Henry. Samuel (all of Runanga) and Edwar i (of Moonlight). There arc also 44 grand-children. The funeral takes place to-morrow at the Kumara- cemet-
