JAP SQUADRON

VISIT TO N.Z. (Per Press Association). AUCKLAND, May 26. The following telegram has been received by the iGovernor-General from Admiral Osumi. Minister of the Navy, Tokio: “I wish to express the sincere thanks of the Japanese Navy and myself to you, and, through you. to the authorities and people of New Zealand, for the very cordial reception extended to the and men of our training squadron On the occasion of it s recent visit.”

Below is a- copy of a telegram which was despatched by His Excellency to the British Ambassador at Tokjo, for transmission to Admiral Osumi: “Will you please thank the Minister of the Navy, Tokio, for his kind telegram to me, and assure him that it gave the Government, and people of New Zealand very much pleasure to welcome to this Dominion Rear-Admiarl Nauamara and the officers and mon of tjje Japanese training squadron. We hope they enjoyed their stay, and that they have carried away pleasant recollections of their visit.”
