W.F.A. MEETING. The weekly meeting of the W.F.A. was held last evening, those present being, Messrs W. Robertson (President), E. Airey, F. M. Smytji, A. McLean, and M. Morel (Secretary). An apology was received from Mr W. Rafferty for absence. The report of Mr C. Hogg was received as satisfactory. Three nominations were received for. the Chatham Cup, namely,/ Buna nga, T)obson and Marist.

Waiuta wrote stating that owing to lack of funds, Waiuta would not be entering for the Chatham Cup, and also that the Waiuta ground (would not be available for June 3rd. A letter was received from Mr McLennan. Secretary of the Otago Primary Schools Association, drawing attention to the near approach of the annual tournament set down for Greymouth. The Secretary was instructed to write and give details of football in the schools, and to thank Mr McLennan for his letter.

The Secretary was also instructed to write Mr 11. R. Barrett (President of the School Football Association), extending an invitation for him 'to attend the next meeting of the W.F.A. The New Zealand Association wrote stating that, assuming the All Blacks (Millerton) entry for the Chatham Cup is accepted and they -become winners of the West Coast competition, it would be jiecessary to play the winning Canterbury team at Greymouth. It would, therefore, be necessary for the W.F.A. to arrange for a ground and control the game. The matter of the All Blacks being able to participate in the Chatham Cup series owing to there bein s no Buller Association at the present time was being referred to the Emergency ’Committee for its opinion. The letter added that the New Zealand Council had the right to accept entries from clubs in districts where there were no controlling associations, but in accepting such entries the Council must and would prefect clubs from regular districts both as regards travelling expenses and loss of time. In order that an equitable decision might be arrived at, should the question of membership arise, the N.Z.F.A. desired tn know, the names of all of the All B T ack Club members for the past two seasons with those who actually played for the Club in Chatham Cup matches; also a list of other players in the district who might be available to plav should the Council ifVrmifr them to do so. Should the All Black Club enter and be the winning club on the West Coast, it should be assumed that any game between All Blacks and a Canterbury club would be played nt Greymouth and not in the Buller district. The letter further added that the Council had also writ ten to the Secretary of the meantime defunct Buller F.A. asking for information regarding it s position. FIXTURES.
