WESTRALIAN IRON DEPOSITS. LABOUR GOVERNMENT’S ACTION (Received March 13 at 9-20 p.m. PERTH. March 13. A Japanese delegation recently attempted to_ secure a long lease of extensive iron ore deposits at Yampi Round, in Western Australia, but the Westralian State Government rejected their overtures. The Government, however, has now granted a teix-months’ reservation to the British interests who are represented by Sir James Connolly, who formerly was AgentGeneral for Western Australia in London. Sir Jas. Connolly has given an assurance that the deposits will be tested within that period.
