NELSON LAND BOARD

At the monthly meeting of the Nelson Land Board, on 14th February, there were present Messrs A. F. Waters, Commissioner of Crown Lands (chairman) and A. B. Edwards, J. u’Began, W. Blackadder and F. W. Gibbs. Applications' for land were as follows:— Section 38, Block XII, Inangahua S.D., area 44 acres, applicant, J. Coll.— Resolved to grant an occupation license at a rental of 10/- monthly. BL, Section 86, Block IX, Oparara Survey District, area 3864 acres, applicant, W. Gourley.—Resolved to grant an Occupation License for three years at an annual rental of £lO. Transfers approved were:—

Section 15, Block XV, Mokihinui, S.L., area 5 acres, A. V. E. Moffitt to J. 11. Mulholland.—Approved. See. 859, town of Westport, area 14.4 parches, W. R. Jackson to L. Wilson. Approved. Exchange of Tenure.— Sec. 2, Block XIII, Reefton, S.D., area 33 acres 2 roods, from Pastoral License to Renewable Lease, applicant ** T. Hampson.—Resolved to grant a Renewable Lease from 1/7/33 at a capital value of £2l/5/-. Renewals of Timber Licenses granted were: — Sec. 7, and part Section 5, Otumahatia Survey District, 80 acres, Granite Creek Sawmilling Co. Ltd.—License renewed for twelve months.

Forfeitures:— MDLO 249 Section 2, Block VT, Kawatiri Survey District, 5 acres, RL 369 Part Section 14, Block IT, Kawatirq S.D., area 4 acres lrd 16pchs, estate of II Laurie, deed. Section 4, Block VII, Tutaki Survey District, 656 acres, T. C. Collins. The Collingwood County Council submitted proposals for expenditure of thirds, amounting to £5/10/11 accrued tn 30/9/34, and £l5/8/9 accrued to 31/3/34. —Approved. Section 7, Block I, Steeples Survey District, area 167 acres 23perchos, applicant. J. B. Annan, Declined.
