The Chairman (Hon. W. 11. Mclntyre) and the Secretary, were appointed to interview the Minister. SCHOOL ENTRY AND LEAVING. Nelson Education Board to-day decided to review its representations regarding the readmission of five-year-old children to the public schools. In reply to representations by the Nelson Education Board, the Minister of Education, stated that the proposed amended regulations would include a provision whereby any child 14 years of age about to> leave school, would be given an opportunity of sitting for proficiency.
