REEFTON NOTES
(Our Own Correspondent.) October 8. A miner named Crauson, employed at Aleandep mine, sustained a, broken rib, bruises and shock while working in the mine on Saturday. He was caught by a fall of sitone, which knocked a leg of timber away. He was brought to Reefton Hospital and to-day was reported as doing well. A Rugby game i’or the Ilurly Burly Cup', played yesterday between the Cronadun old boys and 'the Black’s Point team, was very hardly contested, and after an exciting game was won by Cronadun by six points to five. Mr W. Hunt was referee. In the Waiuta v. Ikamatua match another close finish was witnessed, Waiuta proving the winners by 11 points to 10. Mr J. Crossman was referee. The Rugby League game yesterday, Reefton juniors v. Waratah, was won by the Reefton team by 36 points to 10.' The condition of M r W. B. Auid. County Clerk, continues to rfhow an improvement, and it is expected (that he will be able to leave his room VMrs Duffy and sons, of Denniston, are on a visit t'o the former’s mother. Mrs Elliston, The Terrace. The local directors of the Argo Dredging Company went to Blackball during (the week-end when a meeting of directors was held and the site of the dredge fixed. The plant has been ordered and its construction will be pushed on with all possible dispatch.
