GERMAN MUSICIANS
MUST DROP FOREIGN NAMES. (Received October 8 at 7.30 p.m.) BERLIN, October 7. A Government decree states that musicians who already have appeared under foreign names must revert to their correct names before October 31, or they will be expelled from the Chamber of Music, and will lose their livelihood. The decree says that the tendency of many Germans is to believe that what is foreign is better than what is German, and this must be opposed in every possible way.
