Spain now has a Government with the majority of the Cortes behind it. Senor Lerroux’s statements justify the hope thait his Government will not gratuitously provide the opposition with any martyrs. Clemency, combined with a readiness for political compromise, may give Spain & more stable regime than she has enjoyed ><ince ithe fall 'of the Monarchy.
