MOTOR CYCLE’S FALL Strange Wellington Mishap (Per Press Association.) WELLIGTON, October 8. When their motor cycle ran off the road and crashed, downhill, on to the roof of a house ninety feet below, two young men, named J- Nolan and T. Russell, were lucky to escape serious injury. The men were rid ng round a corner on Sutherland Road overlooking Lyall Bay. Nolan was in the sidecar and Russell was on the. cycle. In swerving to avoid two children, the machine left the road. 11 then dashed down a steep, grassy slope below. Nolan at once scrambled out of the sidecar, and he jumped clear, es-, raping with a severe bruising; but his companion was unable to do so, and both man and machine crashed through two pi'eket fences, and fina’ly ended, with a leap, on to the tilted roof of a house at tho bottom of the slope. Mrs G. IL Charteris, the wife of the owner of the house, was startled bv the crash. She came out. to find 'he cycle embedded in the roof. Russell was removed. suffering severe cuts and bruise®
