PRINCE HENRY
POPULAR IN WESTRALIA A Genial Personality (Aus. & N.Z. Cable Assn.) (Received October 7 at 6.30 p.m.) PERTH. October 7. • After two days of official functions, Prince Henry had comparatively an easy programme yesterday, beginning wltli a levee and ending with a visit to a trotting meeting. No fewer than fourteen addresses of welcome were presented ranging from that of Road Board Association, to the Salvation Army. Prince Henry has adopted the practice of making one general reply. He had a most interesting time af Yanchep overnight. Ho danced four times with a handsome blonde, Miss Bess Edwards whose father is chairman of the Reception Committee. Press representatives declare the Duke t’o- be wonderfully popular. He eschews excessive formality, and is friendly and unassuming. He is less the man of the world than was the Prince of Wales and is less serious fh-an the Duke of York. He has a keen sense of humour, and he is not overfond of dancing.
