MINISTER’S REPLY To Request for Inquiry The Chairman of the Grey Hospital Board, Mr R. McTaggart, received yesterday evening from the Minister of Health. Hon. J. A. Young, a letter relative to the request recently made )fer an inquiry {regarding the affairs of the Grey Hospital, the letter being accompanied by a copy of the reply which the Minister has given to Mr F. L. Turley, a member «f the Board, who had fdp-wardt-l letters to the Minister asking for an inquiry. The reply is as follows:— “Mr F. L. Turley:— Dear Sir.— With further reference to your letter of July 5. requesting an inquiry into the affairs ol the Gncy Hospital Board. I am now in receipt of a communication from the Chairman of the Board, replying to the several allegations made by yourself. “After carefully considering the natter, and particularly having regard to the recent changes of senior ’n odical staff, f anv not satisfied that there is sufficient* warranty for the oxDon-e of a special Departmental inquiry. “Instructions have been given.

Young states that, as soon as can conveniently be arranged, a visit of inspection will be made by a Departmental Officer, who will extend an opportunitv to Board members to discuss any matters relative to the administration of the TTospVal.
