(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, October 4. The weather report and forecast are as follows: —General situation: A moderate anti-cyclone has already passed Tasmania, and will shortly me affecting the southern districts. Forecast: Moderate south-westerly winds north of Auckland; elsewhere, moderate to fresh westerlies prevailing, and gradually tending more northerly and increasing. Seas in New Zealand waters becoming rough south of Cape Egmont, and about Cook and Foveaux Straits. Eastern Tasman Sea: Afoderate to strong north-westerly winds. and rather rough to rough seas. Weather: Rain is developing in Westland and in the extreme southern districts, and is extending gradually northward over the western districts; otherwise fair to fine, with warmer temperatures.
