IKAMATUA NOTES
(Our Own Correspondent.) A meeting was convened at Ikama--1 ua for the purpose of forming a Whippet Racing Club, and a fair number were present. Messrs Winchester and Lockington, of the Beef ton Club, attended, and Mr. Winchester was voted Io the chair. After a lengthy discussion on rules and means of forming a club, it was decided to form the Grey Valley Whippet Racing Club, the following officers being elected: Patron. Mr. G. B. Melnroe; President, Mr. J. Green; Vice-Presidents, Messrs. John McNamara and L. Brooker; Committee, Messrs. J. Green, L. Brooker, W. Kinley, V. Etwell, A. Trewern, F. Malley; Hon. Treasurer, Mr. F. J. Malley; Hon. Secretary, Mr. R. V. Trewern. The meeting was closed with a hearty vote of thanks to Messrs. Winchester and Lockington.
The following footballers will represent Ikamatua against Waiuta, at Ikamatua, on Sunday : —Quinn, Taylor, Trewern, W. O’Malley, Foster, Boyle, Cowan, H. Scott, A. O’Malley, Etwell, Scott, Scott, Groufsky, Brydon, Malley.
