REEFTON NOTES
(Our (Jwn Correspondent.) REEFTON, October 4. A young son of Mr and Mis \V. Parsonage, of Reefton, underwent an, operation for appendicitis n‘ the hospital yesterday. The operation nas a somewhat, serious one, and. though ho camo through the ordeal well, the lad is not yet out of danger. Mr J. B. Auld presided at the usual monthly meeting of the C'Mineil of the Recfton School of Mines. The Director reported that the month had been a very busy and very successful one; 439 assays were handled f ,,r the month. The classes are being ca r ried on satisfactorily, :»p ( | Dr. .1. L.
