ADDINGTON MARKET Yesterday’s Sale (Our Own Correspondent.) CHRISTCIFIRCH, August 22. There was an over-supply of fat sheep at Addington to-day. Values were easier. Best heavy wethers sold to 29s lOd, prime 26s to 28s 6d, medium 23s to 25s 6d, plain from 20s, light from 19s; extra heavy ewes to 24s JOd, prime heavy 22s to 235, medium 19s to 21s, plain and light from 13s 6d. Fine spring lambs realised from 40s Gd to 44s 3d. Fat hoggets met a keen sale, with only a small offering. Values were in excess of those ruling in the double sale. There was a very small yarding oi store sheep in the various grades, and keen sale in all classes. Ewes with lambs at foot sold from 12s lid to 14s 3d, all counted. Just over 300 head of beef were yarded and there was a good sound sale, with values barely up to the double market sales. All good beet was selling 25s to 27s per hundred lbs. Extra heavy bullocks sold to £l3 7s Gd, I prime heavy £lO 10s to £ll 7s Gd, prime £8 15s to £9 15s, light from £7: best heavy cows to £ll 7s Gd down to | 50s; best heifers to £lO 7s Gd down ? to £4. There was a large yarding of porkers. Exporters were operating in a small degree. Values were firmer. Baconers were firm. Average porkers sold from 28s 6d to 33s 6d. heavy porkers 34s 6d to 40s, extra heavy to 45s 6d, average 5d to s. : ’d per lb. Choppers sold from £2 to £5 0s Gd, baconers 48s 6d to 54s Gd, heavy 58s Gd to £3 5s Gd, extra heavy to £3 14s 6d, the average price being to ssd per lb.
