ACCIDENTS
(Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, August 22. John Ainsley Sparrow, commercial traveller, was committed for trial on a charge of negligently driving a motor car, causing the death of a cyclist, Thomas Albert Carr, who was struck by a motor after it had collided with a tram car. Bail was allowed. WELLINGTON, August 22. A car travelling northwards last night, collided with a service car, which had pulled up under a dome light at Waikanae, to enable the driver io make adjustment, to the engine. The service car was knocked into a drain, and the driver of the service car, who had his head inside the bonnet, was slightly injured. The service car was unable to continue the journey and another had to be sent to take the passengers on. NAPIER, August 21. That Dudley William Fox, aged 17 years, died at the Napier Public Hospital, on April 27, from haemorrhage of the brain, due to injuries received in a collision between a motor-cycle ridden by Geoffrey Colin Beattie and a. motor-car driven by William Benjamin Rudland, of Karamu Road, Hastings, on the previous day, was the verdict returned by the coroner at an inquest held at Napier this morning.
