The weather report and forecast are as follow-s; General situation: A moderate anti-cyclone ciovers North Tasman >Si'a and New Zealand, while a slight depression is advancing across South Tasman Sea. Forecast: Winds uorjh-’westerly Io 'westerly, moderate mainly, but freshening somewhat in and south of Cook Strait. Seas, in New Zealand waters are becoming rather rough on the Vest Coast of the South Is’and; elsewhere smooth to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Nonth-west to west winds., moderate in the northern portion, 'with moderate seas, and -.’re-ui t»o strong in thc southern portion, w; 1 h ra t her rough sea s. W pat her mainly fair to fine, but becoming unsettled to-morrow in the western districts from Taranaki to Southland and in the far .south, with rain hi places. Temperatures mild.
