Metropolitan Trots INDIANAPOLIS WINS. SPRINT TO ROLLO. (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, August 17. The New Zealand Metropolitan T.C. August meeting concluded to-day. Ihe weather was fine early, after heavy overnight showers, but steady rain set in half way through the programme, making the track sloppy. The attendance was fair and the tote investments were £24,817 against £30,006 on the same day last year, making a total for the meeting of £72,269 as compared with £75,157-1 last year. Writer was closely followed by Nicoya past the stands, but with three furlongs to cover Writer was followed by 'Worthy Queen, with Trampfast, Nicoya and Huon Voyage next. Writer entered the straight just clear of Worthy Queen, but drew out in the run home and won by two lengths from Huon Voyage. Trampfast was a neck away and Nicoya was fourth.
