GENERAL STRIKE
U.S.A. COTTOX MILL WORKERS. (Received August 17 at 10.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, August 16. A general strike in lhe cotton textile industry iwas ordered to-day by a convention of the United Textile Workers, probably for September Ist. The chief demands are the abolition of company unions and a thirty-hour week with forty hours pay.
