TARANAKI NEWSPAPER PROPRIETOR. NEW PLYMOUTH. August 17. The death has occurred at Wellington of Mr Thus. C. List, Acting Governor of Rotary in Naw Zealand and th.* proprietor of the “Taranaki Daily News.’ Mr List was visiting Wellington on business when he became ill. An operation was performed last night for an ‘internal trouble. A blood transfusion was given to-day, but the patient rapidly sank. WELLINGTON, August 17. The death occurred to-day of Mr Thomas Currie List, of New Plymouth a prominent newspaper man and Acting Governor of Rotary in New Zealand. M'r List had been called to Wellington early in the week to Rt* tend a Rotary Conference. He became seriouslv 'ill yesterday, and was admitted to hospital, where an operation was performed. His condition became extremely critical and he died al 4. 35 p.m. to-day.
