NELSON’S SHIELD CHALLENGE. At the weekly meeting of the Management .Committee of the Nelson Rugby Union, it was decided that the Seddon Shield challenge date should be September 8, as originally arranged, and that Nelson should go to the West Coast for the first match of its tour. CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL TO-MORROW. The final of the West Coast Rugby Union’s championship ‘.will be played at Rugby Park to-morrow between Blaketown and United, ami keen interest has been aroused in the encounter. Both sides have been training consistently and are confident of success. Cobden and Star seniors shoujld also provide an interesting match in a IMicßhearty Shield competition game on the No. 2 ground at Rugby Park. Cobden seniors (v. Twenty primary schoolboys from Hokitika and Greymouth will leave Greymouth at 7.30 o’clock on Monday morning to take part in the Primary Schools Seddon Shield tournament, which commences tliere on Tuesday. In the annual Rugby matches played to-day. first fifteens, St. Patrick’s College, Wellington, defeated St. Pat rick’s College, Silverstream. by 9 3. Feilding Agricultural High School defeated Scots College 8 to 5.
