NELSON LAND BOARD

A meeting of the Nelson Land Board was held on Thursday, August 9. Present, Mr. A. F. Waters, Commissioner of (Jrown Lands (chairman), and Messrs A. R. Edwards, J. o’Regan, W. Blackadder and F. W. Gibbs attended.

The chairman reported that Mr. F. W. Gibbs had been appointed a memer of the Nelson Land Board for a further period of 2 years. RL Section 3, Block XVI, Waimea Survey District. Area 785 acres.—H. D. Johnston—Resolved to declare lease forfeited and to. waive disqualification under Section 116 of the Land Act.

Cancellations: PL. Part Section 2, Block VII, Mawheraiti Survey District 60 acres, N. A. Wallis—Resolved to rescind previous resolution and to cancel license. Mise., 200 acres in Block X, Wangapeka Survey District, J. H. Taylor.—Resolved to cancel license. RL. Section 10A, Block XI, Burnett Survey District, 349 acres.—Resolved to grant a Pastoral Regulation License to Mr A.'Ernst, rental of £B/8/-, land classified as third-class. Res. Part Section 34, Block 111, Waimea Survey District, area 8 acres 3 roods 27 perches. Resolved to withdraw this from sale.

Application to effect improvements. —ER Section 17, Block Nil, Maruia Survey District. Area 336 acres 1 rood .08 perches. A. Williams-Load-er.—Approved. RL. Sections 1, 34, 101 Block XTT, Kaiteriteri Survey District, 259 acres 3roods 10.17 perches. Resolved to grant J. S. Wilkinson a permit for six months to cut firewood from dead trees at a royalty of 2/6 per cord. Renewals. —Misc. 6G acres in Block 1, Ohika Survey District, J. Tracey.— Application for renewal declined. Mise. 160 acres in Part Section 32, Blk IX, Kawatiri S.D., J. A. Corrie.— Application for renewal declined. The Board also dealt with 14 items in Committee.
