(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, August 15. The weather report and forecast are as follows:—General situation, A deep westerly depression still extends from Eastern Australia across Tasman Sea and New Zealand. Forecast: Strong northerly to westerly winds, reaching gale force in many places. Seas in New Zealand waters moderate in coastal waters north of Castlepoint; elsewhere rough. Eastern Tasman Sea: Strong north-west to west winds to gales, backing later to south-westerly in the western portion; seas rough to heavy. Weather still unsettled and squally, with rain at times in all western districts, and heavy falls in Westland. Mainly fair at first, with showers, on the east coast south of Gisborne. Temperatures mild. &
