MOLLISONS UNDER TURKEY’S BAN. (Received August 14 at 9 p.m.) LONDON, August 14. Mollison, the airman, has telegraphed to Mustapha Kemal Pasha, President of Turkey, appealing to his “us a sportsman to waive your refusal to myself and Amy of permission to fly over Turkey in the air race, which was imposed due to our unintentional technical infringements of the Turkish air rules. ’ ’
Mollison told the “Daily Mail” he had prepared an alternative route in the event of President Kemal not relenting. Tt was one embodying a detour substantially increasing flying time, though not ruling out the chances of success.
