The weather report and forecast arc as follows: General situation]: A fairly intense anti-cyclone has moved on to New Zealand, while there is a. depression off the east coast of Australia. but it appears to have been filling up. Foreoast: Winds light to moderate and variable, but gradually tending to northerly and freshening. Seas in New Zealand waters rather rough about Foveaux Strait; elsewhere smooth to; moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: North-easterly to northerly winds, light to moderate but freshening; sens smooth to moderate. Weather still fair to fine in mot districts; sonic showers about Foveaux Strait, expending later to the west coast of the South Island. . 'Temperatures ar 3 becoming milder.
