Totara, Petone, early. TELEGRAMS. BLUFF. July 31. Sailed, at 8 p.m., g.s. “Matai,” for Westpo»rt, via West Coast Sounds. NOTES. The Harbour Office last evening reported that the depth on the bar at high water yesterday was 21ft bin. The Kakariki is scheduled to sail to-day for Melbourne. The Rata, with timber for Napier and coal for Gisborne, is held up by the strike. The Kalingo. at present loading timber for Sydney and Newcastle, is scheduled to sail to-morrow. The Kaimai (for Wellington), Titoki (for Nelson and Tarakohe), Poolta (for New Plymouth and Auckland), and Kainiiro (fo-n Melbourne) are all he’d up by the seamen’s strike, and their departure is indefinite. The Kiwitea is due to-day from Auckland to load for Miramar and Wellington. The Totara is due on Friday from Lyttelton, to load for Petone and Wellington. The Poolta is due back on August 6. from Auckland, to load for Wellington. The Titoki is to return early to load for New. Plymouth, via Westport. The Kaitoa leaves Wellington today for Westport and Greymouth, to load coal for Nelson.
