Reinstatements to Code 113 APPLICATIONS. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 2. The largest number of applications for reinstatement to the Rugby Union game from Rugby League that the New Zealand Rugby Union has had ar one time was dealt with at tonight ’s meeting of the Management Committee. A majority of the 113 applications came from Auckland and Wellington, but Canterbury. West Coast and North Auckland figured prominently on the list. “All League players must be now hack in Rugby.’’ remarked one member of the Committee. The Secretary, Mr A. E. BAD LANGUAGE. (’ll RISTCII URCH, May 2. The prevalence of bad language on tin football field, especially in lower grade gaine-s, .was deplored at a meeting of the Canterbury Rugby Union l>v Mr .T. T Buwows. On his nm lion it was decided to wrle to cubs and the Referees’ Association, in an endeavour to have sm-h language checked. Mr Burrows said it sieemed that bad language was practically unchecked by the referees.
