The Samoan correspondent of the Press Association writes from Apia, June S: — The King’s Birthday was celebrated by a public holiday on June 3. distin’ guished visitors being the Governor of America Samoa, Captain Landen, berger ami Afrs Landenberger. Wreaths were laid on the graves of British and American sailors killed during the Samoan troubles in 1899, a visit bciing- paid to Afulinnuu for this pur | The death occurred on June 3. of Leslie Partridge, bacteriologist ami chemist, at Apia llosjital.
