Tho,mas Albert Bradford, a single man. aged 21 years, who had his spine fractured recently through being caught by a falling tree, died in the Gore Hospital. Bradford was a farm hand at Fresh ford. DEERSTALKER SHOT. NELSON, June 12. Kenneth Exton, while deerstalking at Wangamoa yesterday, was shot through the thigh by stalkers from a different party, who mistook him for an animal in tho scrub. TTis injuries are not serious. FOXTON RE FLOATED. CHRISTCHURCH, June 12. After being stranded at the spit mouth of the Waimakariri since Saturday night, the Foxton was floated off this morning, and entered the river, a.nchoring at Kairaki.’ She will go to Kaiapoi at high tide this evening.
