A Melbourne cablegram states that Hir Robert Gibsou, Chairman of the Commonwealth Bank, is seriously ill. His condition is causing anxiety. Guests at Bevington’s Hotel include*: Mr A. O. The death took place at the rear deuce of Mr B. Clark, Blaketown of Horace James Grant at the age o f 64 years. Deceased who bad been ailing for the past three months was a native of Motueka. He came to the West Coast about 33 years ago and worked in the various mills in the district, whilst he also worked at Okarito, and was a blacksmith ny trade. He had resided at Camerons for the past 28 years, lie is survived by his wife, three sons James ami Donald (Greymouth) ami Horace (Camerons) and one daughter M iss i J race Grant (Camerons). A private interment takes place this evening.
