BOMB FOR ROOSEVELT

The “Washington Post,’’ in a copyrighted story on Wednesday, says: A second apparent attempt on the life of the President-eleet, Mr Roosevelt, was revealed on Tuesday night with the discovery of a bomb addressed to him amid the incoming mail at the City Post Office. It was discovered by clerks when it tumbled from a mail sack, ano the box in which it was contained burst open. It is said to have been wired to explode when pro pertv jarred or struck. The explosion might not have resulted fatally, but considerable harm would have been done to the person handling.it. The work is described as that of an amateur.
