FOR REDUCTION OF NZ. EXPORTS. WELLINGTON. February .16. The information that, informal discussions are taking place between the Imperial authorities and the Governments of various Dominions on the best means of overcoming the position which has arisen through the over-im-portation of dairy produce into the United Kingdom is contained in a statement made by the prime Minister Mr Forbes, who expressed confidence in the ultimate outcome of the negotia t ions. Mr Forbes said that, through the High Commissioner. Sir T. Wilford. there had come an invitation to make suggestions, and the Government had referred the question to the Dairy Export Board, which would meet tomorrow io consider the situation. The Board would ‘make recommendations to the Government, which would forward its suggestions to the High Com. missioner for transmission to the British Ministry. Any restrictions made, he said, must apply to foreign as well as to Dominion supplies of dairy produce.
