NEW AIR. MAIL SENDERS. (Aus & N.Z. Cable Assn.) CANBERRA, December 4. The Commonwealth Air Communi cations Committee’s report; contains a number of recommendations governing flying in Australia, also the immediate calling of tenders for four mail services—firstly, Darwin to singa/ore; secondly. Darwin to Cootamundra. which will be tho di»- ■ i-iliuting centre for mads for Sydney end Meb'.tnj’ne ; thirdly. Catherine to Perth, via* the North-west Coast: fourthly, Melbourne to Hobart. The Committee states that the Australian service to Singapore would not. involve so much expenditure, as contributing to the Imperial Air Mail. I.ATER. Cabinet decided to adopt the recom mendations of the Air Service Committee, that. Australia should control tho service from Darwin to Singapore. Cabinet also adopted the report on air mail services within Australia.
