BRITAIN NEARING FIVE MILLION LICENSES. (British Official Wireless.) (Received August 16 at 5 5 p.m.) RUGBY. August 15. The General Post Office states that th e number of wireless licenses issued at the end of July was 4 800 000. This was over one million more than the total a year ago. It is anticipated that the five million mark will be reached during the Radio Exhibtiou which opens at Olympia in London on Friday.
