THE WEATHER
(Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, June 29. The weather report and forecast are as follows: —General situation: The front, of an extensive anti-cyclone has moved on to New Zealand, while a depression has been passing to the northwards. Forecast: Winds moderate to strong, southerly and of gale force ih exposed positions in and north of Cook Strait. Seas in New Zealand waters rather rough to rough generally. Eastern , Tasman Sea: Moderate to fresh southerly winds and rough seas. Weather: Cold and changeable, with scattered showers, but mainly fair in the western districts, and gradually improving generally. There will be some severe frosts in the South Island tonight.
