DOMINION NEWS

LAND-SLIP UPON BAKERY. (Per Press Association;. WANGANUI, May 4. , At 12.20 this morning a slip occurred at Taylorville, completely burying a portion of G. Cutelli and Sons’ bakery establishment. One oven was completely buried and the other two very badly strained. The weight of the slip pushed a building in front of the bakery which was used as a chop and for residential purposes completely off the foundations. The Cutelli family were asleep at the time, and there was difficulty in getting out as the windows and doors jambed. Fortunately, the slip did not occur leter in the morning, when some of the bakehouse employees would probably have been buried alive.
