ESCAPEE RECAPTURED. WELLINGTON, May 3J Three women walking down Adelaide Road, shortly after 3 o’clock this morning, noticed that the appearance of a man. in front of them coincided with the. description published las't night of William Alexander Crossan, who escaped from Mount Cook Police Station yesterday morning. They con veyed their suspicions to Constable Cave, who arrested Crossan in the vicinity of the Basin Reserve. Crossan appeared in Court this morning, charged with breaking and entering the residence of Dr. Ewart, being in possession by night of housebreaking instruments, and being an incorrigible rogue in '.that he escaped from custody. A remand was granted to May 11th.
