NEW PROJECTILE. (Aub. & N.Z. Cable Assn). LONDON, March 31. Sir Robert Hadfield disclosed at tk“ annual meeting that Hadfields had produced a new type of projective capable of perforating the best hard-faced armour, over a. foot in thickness, inclined at thirty degrees, at a velocity equivalent to a range of fifteen thousand yards. The time occupied in piercing the armour plate was l/200ths. of a second.
