FALLING REVENUE DISCOUNTED BY CUTS. (Eer Press Association). WELLINGTON, April 1. A satisfactory feature of the latest railway accounts is that, although there was a decrease of £54,688 in the revenue for the four-weekly period, this was more than offset by a decrease of £78,003 in the expenditure, the net revenue showing an improvement of £23,315. For the current year, to February 27, tire decrease in the revenue was £1.037.352, and in the expenditure £1,152,008, which gives an improvement in the net revenue of £114.656.
