Though a painter and explorer named Oihegraven repeatedly told a woman that his pet leopard, though harmless, d sliked children t the woman ignored his warning, this resulting in the animal killing her baby. The police shot the leopard. Othegraven was sentenced to twelve months’ o n a charge of manslaughter owing t° his keeping a wild animal in an inhabited area.
