ADDINGTON SALE. SOME INCHEASES. (Special to “Argus.”) CHRISTCHURCH, March 16. There were some price improvements at the live, stock sale to-day at Addington, which Messrs 11. Matson and Co. review as follows: — Th re was a largo yarding of fat lambs of mixed quality. Prices were well maintained. Prime heavy weights were in excess of schedule rates. Best heavy lambs sold io 22s 10d, prime 17s to 18s 6d, medium 13s to 16s 6d, 1-ght from 10s.

There was a large yarding of store ’limbs, and keen competition, the recent rain bringing on th? feed and creating good buying strength. Best grades were up to 12s 3d, and inferior sold from 3s.

There was a large yarding of st or: sheep and a good attendance of buy

ers. Competition generally was good and recent values were maintained.

There was a large yarding of fat sheep, following short entries in the previous two weeks. Values were easier. Show wethers sold to 25s 7d; extra prime heavy 19s to 22s 6<l, prime heavy J7s to 18s 9d, medium prime 15s to 16s Gd, medium 12s Gd to 14s 6d ? iight 9s to 12s. Heavy heifers sold to £lO 17s 6tl. prime £G 5s to £7 12s Gd, medium £4 15s to £5 ss; best cows to £9 17s 6(1, prime £4 15s to £6 7s Gd; inferior from 50s. There was a medium yard'ng of fat pigs, chiefly heavy porkers. This class was easier. Handy weights were firmer. Baconers sold at late rates. Porkers fetched 28*: to 325. heavier to 37s Gd; choppers £2 to £4 18s Gd; baconers 38s Gd to 44s 6d, heavier 47s 6d to 525, extia heavv to £3 ss.
