Sir Granville Ryrie, (Australia! High Commissioner) is sailing the first week in August, via Canada, ori his return to Australia. A London cable states that Mr Louis Brennan, the inventor of the Brennan torpedo and other mechanical contrivances, who died on January 20 last, left £2,275.- He was a Melbouruite and in view.of his ingenuity, his estate was a very moderate one A Sydney cable records the death of Mr Charles Hibblo. lie formerly was chairman of the Coal Tribunal of New South Wales. He was 66 years old .and died at Newcastle. Born in New Zealand the cable says he had a. distinguished career in Ne vv South Wales. Guests at the Albion Hotel include: Mr 11. R.
