The police said that complaints had hee n neceived from a European one be ; ng that a man who marked a ticket and won £75 was pof paid. The police further alleged that fourteen banks we e drawn daily in Grey Avenue places. Chong was finted fifty pounds, or th’-ee months , imprisonment. Seven Europeans wore each fined £2 for being unlawfully on the pre-; nvsos. A charge against one man. who pleaded not guilty, was dismissed.
