TEACHER APPEALS

DISMISSAL OF MARRIED WOMEN. AUCKLAND, February 19. Six appeals by married women teachers in the Auckland district against the termination of their engagements were upheld by the Teachers’ Appeal Court. Of the remaining nine appeals, six were dismissed, two were deferred, and one was withdrawn, as the Board had already cancelled the notice of dismissal because the appellant’s husband had now lost his employment.
